did i just grow the tallest, heaviest sunflower in my yard ever?

This year, I ended up with a sunflower that totally blew my mind. It shot up to almost 13 feet tall and the head was so heavy, I had to use both hands to hold it. I never thought my backyard could handle something this big, but it turns out, a little compost and lots of sun go a long way. I started the seeds indoors early, then moved them outside once the frost was gone. Watering deep, but not too often, kept the roots strong. Now, I’m drying the giant head in my shed so I can save every single seed for next season. Can’t wait to see if I can beat my own record next year! #sunflowers #gardeningtips #zone6b #Gardening
