where should we go for our anniversary getaway?

I’m trying to plan something special for our first wedding anniversary in June, and honestly, I’m already feeling a bit overwhelmed. We live in Portugal, so flying out for a long weekend seems like a great idea, but picking the right spot is turning into a real headache. We’ve already done Prague and Bali—talk about two extremes! This time, I want somewhere affordable but still memorable. I keep seeing people rave about Budapest, Rome, and Florence, but I’m worried they’ll be packed with tourists and overpriced by June. Then there’s the temptation of a laid-back island vibe in Crete or Cyprus, but I’m not sure if we’ll end up just bored on a beach, wishing we’d chosen somewhere with more to do. It feels like every option has a catch: big cities might be too busy, islands might be too quiet, and I don’t want to spend half the trip just figuring out what to do.
