We Got Adopted by a Street Cat

So apparently, you don’t choose the cat—the cat chooses you. We were just minding our business, giving a random street kitty a quick head scratch (as one does), and suddenly we had a new shadow. This little fluffball trailed us for TEN blocks, right up to our boat. We tried to do the responsible thing and carried her back to her original spot. Nope. She sprinted after us again, meowing like she was auditioning for a sad indie film. Cue us standing there, two grown adults, completely outplayed by a kitten with abandonment issues. Long story short: she’s currently asleep on our couch, snoring like she pays rent. We didn’t rescue a cat—she rescued us.
