It's a damning indictment of how much of a loner I am that this lockdown hasn't really changed my daily routine. While others are connecting over video calls and online games, I exchange a message or two with my few friends—just like always. I see people missing their social lives, and it makes me realize how deeply alone I am, and how normal it feels to me. I've always been the solo traveler, the quiet observer, the one who works alone. But honestly, I don't like it. I look at others and wonder if I'm missing out on something essential. Is it possible to become more outgoing, even at nearly 30?
