did my green beans just turn purple? wild garden surprise!

Pulled up my bean harvest this weekend and, no joke, two pods were a deep, gorgeous purple. The rest were the usual green. All from the same plant! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I started wondering if I’d mixed up seeds or if my garden was playing tricks on me. Turns out, sometimes beans can change color due to temperature swings or sunlight. I always make sure to rotate my crops and give them plenty of sun, but this was a first. If you ever spot weird colors in your veggies, don’t panic! It might just be nature’s way of keeping things interesting. I’ll definitely be saving seeds from these beauties for next year. Growing your own food always has surprises.
