did my oaxacan green corn just glow in the sun or am i seeing things?

I was out in the garden today and my Oaxacan green corn stopped me in my tracks. The husks shimmered like they’d been dusted with fairy lights. I swear, it almost looked like it was glowing. Maybe it’s the way I’ve been mulching with grass clippings or the extra deep watering I started this year. Either way, these plants are thriving. I always make sure to plant them where they get plenty of afternoon sun, and I check the soil every few days to keep it just damp enough. It’s wild how a few small changes can make your garden pop.
