did a tiny spider just save my groundcherry from disaster?

Spotted a little spider chilling on my groundcherry plant today and totally panicked for a second. My first thought was to shoo it away, but then I remembered that not all bugs are out to wreck my garden. Turns out, these small spiders are actually mini bodyguards. They munch on pests like aphids and beetles that love to snack on my plants way more than I do. So instead of freaking out, I let the spider do its thing. I’ve noticed fewer holes in the leaves since it showed up. Now, every time I see a web, I feel like my plants are in good hands (or legs?).
