When a Test Drive Goes Wrong: Lessons from a Weekend Crash

Over the weekend, one of our sales team members had a customer crash a 2023 Toyota GR86 during a test drive. The salesperson only had the customer’s ID, not their insurance, and didn’t join the drive. Turns out, the customer might have been racing someone else. This made me rethink our process—always get insurance info and never let a test drive happen solo. It’s a tough lesson, but safety and accountability come first.
