Is It Wrong to Ask for Donations for My Child’s Activities?

Unpopular opinion: I feel uneasy every time I’m asked to fundraise or donate for my child’s school activities. There’s something about asking friends and family for money that just feels off to me—almost like I’m crossing a line. I want my child to have every opportunity, but I also wonder if there’s a better way to support our kids without putting financial pressure on others. Maybe I’m alone in this, but I’d rather volunteer my time or skills than ask for cash. Does anyone else feel the same way, or am I overthinking it?
