Feed a family of six on a budget

Stretching the grocery budget for a family of six isn’t easy, but I’ve gotten pretty good at it. One thing that’s worked is building dinners around rice or potatoes—cheap, filling, and everyone actually eats them. We do a lot of veggie stir fries with crisp-tender broccoli, carrots, and snap peas (no mushy stuff), and sometimes roasted potato bowls with beans, corn, and a sprinkle of cheese. The trick is keeping the veggies separate and letting everyone build their own plate. Way less complaining, and it keeps costs down. Swapping out meat for beans or eggs saves a ton, too. I’ll take the win. #Healthy eating #BudgetFamilyMeals #VeggieDinners #Food
