It’s 2AM and my fire alarm won’t shut up. Three beeps, pause, three beeps, pause. I thought I could handle it—just swap the battery, right? I spent $18 on a pack of batteries I didn’t need. Still, the beeping. I checked the wires, reset the thing, even vacuumed out the dust. Nothing worked. I tried moving it, but every time I touched it, I was sure I’d break something or set off the whole building. Now I’m lying here, wide awake, counting the minutes between chirps and wondering if I’m missing something obvious. I wanted to save money by doing it myself. Instead, I got a night of anxiety and a reminder that sometimes, DIY just means Do It Wrong. #DIYDisaster #HomeBudgetFail #BrokeButCreative #Home
