My roommate used to claim he was 'not a cat person.' Grew up in a strict household where pets were for the backyard, not the couch. Fast forward to last year, we adopted a rescue kitten together. At first, he set all these rules: no cats on the bed, no feeding from the table, you know the drill. Now? I catch him FaceTiming the cat when he’s away for work. He built a little cat fort out of cardboard boxes and spent an hour picking out the 'perfect' toy at the pet store. He’s the one who insists the cat sleeps with us, and he literally narrates the cat’s inner thoughts like it’s a Disney movie. The transformation is real.
