Why Does My Dog Act Like a Cat?!

Okay, pet people, please tell me I’m not alone: does anyone else’s dog randomly decide to channel their inner feline? Mine just spent ten minutes perched on the back of the couch, staring at me like I’m the weird one. He’s not a small dog, either. I swear, he’s picked up all the classic cat moves—ignoring me until I’m busy, knocking things off tables for fun, and giving me that judgmental side-eye when I ask him to get down. I adopted him thinking I’d get a loyal, goofy companion, but apparently, I got a dog with an identity crisis. Is this a thing? Are pets just trolling us at this point? Or did I accidentally sign up for a lifetime of unpredictable animal antics? Would love to hear if anyone else’s pets blur the species lines like this.
