My Life Is More Than Just Parenting—And That’s Okay

Sometimes I feel like the world expects me to be nothing but a parent, as if my identity should revolve solely around raising my kids. Don’t get me wrong—I love my children deeply, and being their parent is a huge part of who I am. But I’m also a person with dreams, hobbies, and passions outside of parenting. I want to read books, pursue my career, and spend time with friends. It’s exhausting when people act like my only purpose is to parent 24/7. I wish more people understood that embracing all parts of myself actually makes me a better parent. Have you ever felt this way?
