Ghosted After Interviews—Is Basic Courtesy Dead?

So here's my latest workplace headache: after rounds of interviews with HR, managers, and even a panel of VPs, I get nothing but radio silence. Months go by, and not a single email or call. I mean, is it really that hard to just say, "Sorry, we went with someone else"? It’s honestly exhausting to put in all that effort, share my story, and then be left hanging. I keep wondering if I did something wrong or if this is just the new normal. Am I overreacting, or is this just plain rude? Has anyone else been through this?
