I’m really torn and could use some advice. I left my IT job a while back to move out of state, thinking a fresh start would do me good. Now, I’m stuck in a role that’s not even close to what I love, and every day feels like I’m drifting further from my career goals. Out of the blue, I’ve been offered an IT position again—finally! But here’s the catch: it pays $5k less than what I’m making now. The upside? Better benefits, a much healthier work-life balance, and I’d shave a solid 30 minutes off my commute each way (plus, no more marathon walks from the parking lot!). Is it worth taking a pay cut to get back into a field I enjoy and reclaim some time for myself? Or should I hold out for something better and keep stacking up certifications?
