I’ve been looking forward to finally exploring Lebanon and Egypt this June. I even started brushing up on my Arabic and got all excited about the food and the ancient sites. But with all the news lately, I keep wondering if it’s smart to stick to my original plan or have a backup ready. I don’t want to spend half my trip glued to the news or feeling anxious about what’s going on around me. So now I’m thinking, maybe I should have a plan B—somewhere still close to the Mediterranean, with good weather and plenty to see, but hopefully a bit more relaxed. I’ve got about 10 days, and I’d love to make the most of it, maybe even combine two countries if it’s easy to get around. I keep hearing about places like Morocco, Tunisia, or even hopping over to southern Europe, but I honestly have no idea which spots are actually worth the hype and which ones are just Instagram famous. Have you ever had to change your travel plans last minute because of safety concerns? I feel like every time I get excited about a new place, something pops up in the news to make me second-guess everything. And let’s be honest, it’s not as easy to just “wing it” as it was when we were younger. I want beautiful beaches, good food, and a little adventure—but not so much that I end up with more stress than relaxation. I’d love to hear about your favorite beach towns or countries in North Africa, the Levant, or southern Europe. Did you ever find a hidden gem that surprised you, or did you end up somewhere that just didn’t live up to the hype? #travelplans #mediterranean #northafrica #Travel
