Why Does My Cat Think She’s a Pretzel?

Is there a secret manual all pets read that teaches them how to sleep in the most ridiculous positions possible? Because my cat, Luna, has apparently mastered chapter 7: "Twist Yourself Into a Shape That Defies Biology." Last night, I found her upside down, paws in the air, tail over her face, looking like she’d lost a wrestling match with a yoga instructor. I swear she was smiling in her sleep. Meanwhile, I’m over here with a memory foam pillow and still wake up with a sore neck. Anyone else’s pet treat their bed like it’s an Olympic gymnastics mat?
