Marvel’s Ultimate Universe is absolutely crushing DC’s Absolute Universe right now, and I’m not afraid to say it. The way Marvel reimagines its heroes with totally new backstories (not just retelling the same old stuff) makes every issue feel fresh. Meanwhile, DC’s Absolute Universe just feels like a remix of what we’ve already seen. Are we really supposed to believe Bruce Wayne without his billions is that different?
