Why Do Cats Have That Weird Ear Flap?

Okay, fellow pet parents, I have a burning question: what’s the deal with that tiny pocket/flap thing on the side of my cat’s ear? I swear, every time I’m petting my cat, my finger finds it and I’m like, is this normal? Is it a secret button? Did evolution just get bored? I tried Googling it and apparently it’s called a "Henry’s pocket" (which sounds like a British snack, tbh).
