So, I started my new job at the beginning of the month, and honestly, the work isn’t bad at all. My team is actually pretty chill, and the pay seems fair—at least, I think it is, since I haven’t seen a dime yet. Here’s the kicker: they use this “offset” pay period system, so I have to wait a whole month before I see my first paycheck. I’ve been commuting, putting in the hours, and doing my best, but my bank account is still crying for help. I’m three weeks in, still broke, and honestly, it’s starting to get to me.
