I’m honestly still reeling from what happened today. I just got fired from my bakery job in this tiny town I moved to with my partner. The owner, who’s been running the place forever, told me I missed a shift—except he never actually scheduled me for it. 😳 I’ve always shown up when I was told, and there were never any issues with my work. But today, out of nowhere, he said I was supposed to come in yesterday, and since I didn’t, I was out. No warning, no call, just a help wanted sign and a quick goodbye.
