I Forgot What My Real Skin Looks Like

Every morning, I paint over the same constellation of dark spots. Concealer, foundation, powder—layers I know by heart, but not by choice. I don’t even look at my bare face anymore. I just see what needs fixing. Some days, I can’t remember the last time I let someone see me without makeup. Not even my family. I tell myself it’s just routine, but really, it’s armor. I worry if I stop, people will stare at the wrong things. At night, when I finally wipe it all off, I feel exposed. Not free—just unfinished. Like I’m waiting for my real skin to come back, but it never does. #BareFaceAnxiety #SkinStory #MirrorFatigue #Beauty #Skincare
