I used to sit in front of the mirror, popping in colored contacts like it was nothing. Hazel, gray, green—anything but the brown I was born with. I told myself it was just for fun, but I never left the house without them. Sometimes my eyes would sting, but I’d ignore it. I’d layer on concealer, blue mascara, white eyeliner—anything to make my eyes look brighter, lighter, more interesting. I never realized how much I hated my own reflection until I saw it bare, no filters, no lenses. It’s weird, how something as small as an iris can make you feel like you’re not enough. #MirrorFatigue #BareFaceAnxiety #BeautyBurnout #Beauty #Makeup
