I did Guadalupe Peak because someone here said it was worth it. Not because I was chasing a bucket list, but because their post sounded honest—like they’d actually felt something up there. I started the hike with too much water and not enough sleep. The wind at the summit was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think. There’s a metal pyramid at the top, and I touched it, but it didn’t feel like a finish line. It felt like proof I’d made it through another week. I didn’t take a selfie. I just sat, legs shaking, and thought about how sometimes the best recommendations come from people you’ll never meet. #HikingConfessions #TravelHonesty #NotJustViews #Travel
