Today, the alloy worked. The numbers were so clean I thought I’d made a mistake. I stared at the graph, the one that should’ve felt like a win, and felt nothing but tired. They’ll say we changed a century-old perception. I’ll still remember the hours I spent doubting every result, every late night rerunning protocols because the first four times weren’t enough. The emails I never answered. The friends I stopped calling back. We broke the Carnot limit. I broke a little too. Maybe that’s the real cost of discovery—no one tells you what you’ll lose just to prove something can work. #LabBurnout #ScienceFatigue #ImposterInTheRoom #Science
