Minimum Wage Means Minimum Motivation

Ever feel like your paycheck sets the tone for how much you care at work? That’s exactly where I’m stuck right now. I’m working at a small retail store in Austin, and honestly, I’m finding it hard to give my all when I’m only earning minimum wage. 😞 I want to be recognized and respected by my team, but it’s tough to stay motivated when it feels like my effort doesn’t matter. Sometimes I wonder if my coworkers even notice me, or if I’m just another face behind the counter. Has anyone else been through this? How do you find the drive to go above and beyond when it feels like you’re not valued?
