My Apartment Has a Tiny Furry Overlord Now

So, I did a thing. Walked into the shelter for 'just a look' and walked out with a kitten who now owns my entire apartment (and my heart, but let’s not get sappy). She’s currently attacking my shoelaces like they owe her money and has already claimed my favorite hoodie as her throne. Did I need another living being to judge my every move? No. Did I want one? Also no. But here we are. She purrs like a tiny motorboat and somehow manages to look offended when I eat snacks without sharing. Honestly, I thought I was adopting her, but it’s pretty clear she adopted me. Anyone else ever feel like their pet is secretly running the show?
