My Dog Adopted a Kitten. Now I’m the Third Wheel

So, I brought home a tiny rescue kitten, thinking my dog Max would either ignore her or, at best, tolerate her existence. Instead, Max has decided he’s her full-time bodyguard, snack-sharer, and (apparently) her new mom. The kitten follows him everywhere, and he acts like she’s made of glass. Meanwhile, I’ve been demoted to the role of background human. My lap? Occupied. My bed? Now a wrestling ring for two furballs. My snacks? Forget it—Max shares everything with his new BFF, but suddenly, I’m not on the list. I thought I was rescuing a kitten, but I think Max rescued a best friend. And me?
