Why Tailgate When the Left Lane Is Wide Open?

Just why, lol? I’ll be cruising in the center lane, going the speed limit or a little over, and yet someone always ends up right on my bumper. It’s honestly baffling when the left lane is totally clear! I get that we all have places to be, but tailgating doesn’t make anyone go faster—it just makes things tense and risky.
