My indoor cat escaped yesterday

So my usually indoor-only cat somehow slipped out yesterday while I was bringing in groceries. I've been a wreck ever since. Posted on every local Facebook group, put up flyers, walked around the neighborhood calling her name like a crazy person. The guilt is eating me alive. She's never been outside, doesn't know the area, and I keep imagining all the horrible things that could happen. My neighbors probably think I've lost my mind, but I don't care. It's 2 AM and I'm still checking the porch every hour with a flashlight. Left her favorite blanket and some food outside. They say cats usually hide close to home when they're scared? Anyone else been through this? How long before I should really start panicking? I just want my baby back safe. #MissingCat #LostPet #IndoorCat #Pets #Cats

Keep the faith. She's probably sitting in a tree of something laughing at you. I'll keep her in my thoughts.

Call your cat's name at dusk and dawn- cats are more active then. Also ask neighbors to check garages, sheds. Check under bushes, etc around your house.

The cat bucks on the porch. get a container that has treats in it and go around the neighborhood shaking it and calling your cat's name. It took me a month but I got my cat back by doing that
