Update: Choosing to Spay — and What I Learned

A while back, I shared that my cat was going through her first heat, and I wasn’t sure whether spaying was the right choice. After giving it a lot of thought (and hearing from so many kind cat people — thank you!), I decided to go ahead with the surgery. Spaying comes with so many benefits: ✅ Prevents unwanted litters ✅ Reduces the risk of uterine infections and some cancers ✅ Stops loud meowing and heat-related behaviors ✅ Decreases the urge to roam or escape ✅ Improves overall quality of life She’s resting well and already back to being her sweet, dramatic self. 😽 If you're still on the fence, I totally understand — but I’m really glad I made this decision for her. #catlove #cathealth
