Did you know some owls skip the trees and go full mole-mode in the desert? Burrowing owls literally nest underground, taking over old prairie dog or tortoise burrows. They’re tiny, super cute, and totally adapted to harsh, treeless landscapes. Plus, they use dung to attract bugs for snacks (and maybe mask their scent). Sadly, they’re in trouble due to habitat loss, but conservationists are building them artificial burrows to help. Nature is wild! #WildlifeWednesday #BurrowingOwls #NatureFacts #Science
