Yesterday, I finally handed in my retirement notice at work. I’m a 61-year-old woman, and while my boss took it well, she was clearly surprised I’m leaving this soon. The truth is, the company’s bizarre return-to-office policy pushed me to make this decision earlier than planned. My husband and I have talked to two financial advisors, and they both said I’m good to retire now. He’s two years younger and plans to keep working for a few more years—unless he gets fed up too!
