I'm 43, and my wife is 46. We've worked hard, saved diligently, and even paid off our house. Honestly, if we could count on Social Security being there as promised, we could retire today and live comfortably. But everywhere I turn, people keep warning us that Social Security might not be reliable or could be reduced in the future. This constant uncertainty is driving me crazy.
