Transplant Waitlist Inequality Exposed

Did you know girls and Black kids in the UK are less likely to even make it onto the kidney transplant waiting list? A new study found girls are 12% less likely, Black children 19% less likely, and kids from poorer backgrounds 33% less likely to be listed compared to their peers. Even in a universal healthcare system, these gaps are real and start shockingly early.
