Sunrise and Sunset Are the Same Here

Lapland in winter is the kind of place people call magical, but that’s not what it felt like. I stood outside a cabin buried in snow, the sky stuck in that in-between color—never quite day, never really night. The sun barely drags itself above the horizon before sinking again. It’s beautiful, sure, but also unsettling. Time blurs. You lose track of meals, of sleep, of what you’re supposed to feel. I thought being here would mean clarity, some big reset. Instead, I watched the light fade and realized: sometimes you travel as far as you can, and still bring your confusion with you. #WinterIsolation #LaplandNights #TravelHonesty #Travel
