I stood in front of the Weeping Wall in Kapa’a, pretending to be awed by the cascade. Everyone else was. But I was mostly thinking about the messages I hadn’t answered, the work I’d left unfinished, and the way the mist clung to my skin like a reminder that I couldn’t rinse off what I’d brought with me. People say Hawai’i is healing. Maybe it is, if you’re not carrying your own weather. I took a hundred photos, none of them worth posting. The wall kept weeping. I kept waiting to feel lighter. Sometimes, the view is beautiful and you’re still heavy. That’s not a failure. It’s just the truth. #Travel #TravelConfessions #NotJustTheViews
