We spent months carving a path through Sequoia Park—mud on our boots, hands raw, backs sore. I thought leaving something behind would make me feel rooted. But when the trail was done, I just felt empty. People walk it now, probably without thinking about who made it or why. I wanted to matter, to make a mark, but mostly I just learned how quickly effort fades into the landscape. If you’re ever in Humboldt County, maybe you’ll hike it. Maybe you’ll feel something. I hope you do. I’m still waiting to. #Travel #TravelConfessions #MakingAMark
