After grinding away in software sales for over two decades, I finally hit my goal: I gave my notice right after turning 50. It was always my dream to retire by this age, but now that it’s real, I’m feeling a mix of relief and anxiety. The office politics, endless targets, and constant pressure were wearing me down. Even though we can live off our investments, I worry about tightening our budget and finding something more enjoyable that still brings in $50k-$75k a year. I’ve been diligent about maxing out my 401k and investing, but now I’m second-guessing everything. Has anyone else made this leap? How did you handle the uncertainty and stress? I’d love to hear your advice or stories! 🙏 #Conflict resolution #JobCareer #CareerChange
