Every morning, like clockwork, she runs to the bathroom the second she hears the shower turn on. Not to jump in — no. She just sits by the door, wagging her tail… like she’s waiting. For what? I don’t know. Steam? A ghost? My dignity? I’ve started calling her the “Steam Sentinel.” Maybe she thinks it’s her job to guard me while I’m vulnerable. Or maybe she’s just weird.
