I watched the sun drop behind the karst peaks in Xingping, and for a second, it felt like everything I’d read about travel was true. But then the light faded, and I was still just me—tired, a little lonely, clutching my phone for proof I’d been there. Everyone says you have to see this view, and they’re right. It’s twenty minutes from Guilin by bullet train, and the town empties out at night. But the quiet is loud. You stand there, watching the river turn gold, and realize you can’t photograph the ache of wanting something to change. I’d recommend the sunset. I just wouldn’t promise it’ll change you. #Travel #TravelConfessions #ChasingSunsets
