Ordered a cheap $20 lamp from ShopMax. Showed up cracked in half. Tried their fancy “AI assistant” online—bot told me: “This item category is ineligible for return.” I argued with that stupid script for half an hour, rewording my explanation, uploading new photos, until it finally just said: “Thank you for contacting us.” In the end, I had to drive 30 minutes to their physical store, stand in line, and the human clerk processed the refund in 2 minutes.
