I know the man retired, but I swear his spirit lives on in every botched call I see. He was a referee who had this supernatural ability to find the most creative ways to mess up calls. We’re talking phantom holding penalties, missed obvious face masks, and don’t even get me started on his crew’s inability to spot the ball consistently. The 2021 Steelers-Chargers game still gives me PTSD. Dude called a false start on a center… who was literally just snapping the ball. A FALSE START. ON A SNAP.
