My college kids came home for summer and, oops, I instantly started treating them like little kids again—curfews, check-ins, the whole deal. Turns out, they’re basically adults now (who knew?), and I had to chill out and let them live. We had to find a new groove: daily check-ins, shared chores, and less hovering.
