I showed up to Glacier thinking I was an experienced hiker. Two miles into Hidden Lake Trail, I was sitting on a rock, dizzy and defeated. The altitude hit different than I expected. My carefully planned itinerary meant nothing when my body said no. Tourists half my age were breezing past while I rationed my last granola bar. That's when it clicked: I'd been treating nature like another Instagram backdrop to conquer. But Glacier doesn't care about your hiking boots or your fitness tracker. It just is—massive, indifferent, stunning. I turned around. Took photos of wildflowers instead of peaks. Sometimes the best travel story is admitting when you're not ready for the one you planned. 🏔️ #Travel #TravelHumble #GlacierReality
