Babysitting a Furry Bowling Ball

Ever tried to pet-sit a cat that’s basically a living, breathing marshmallow? Meet Mr. Pudding, the feline equivalent of a weighted blanket. His hobbies include sitting on my laptop, judging my snack choices, and rolling (not walking) to his food bowl. I thought cat-sitting would be chill. Turns out, it’s more like being a personal assistant to a very round, very opinionated boss. He yells if his water isn’t cold enough. He sighs dramatically if I don’t fluff his bed just right. And every time I try to move him off my keyboard, he flops back down with the force of a small planet. Still, there’s something comforting about having a chubby little shadow following me around.
