I thought I’d feel awe, or maybe some kind of spiritual jolt, standing where the Aztecs once named this place the City of Gods. Instead, I felt small. Not in the poetic way—just quietly, unremarkably out of place. The sun burned, the stones radiated heat, and the crowds shuffled up the Pyramid of the Sun, all of us chasing something ancient we couldn’t touch. No revelation, no mystical connection—just the slow realization that sometimes history is too big for you, and that’s okay. I took a photo I never posted. I still look at it, trying to remember what I thought I’d find here. #Travel #TravelExpectationVsReality #LostInHistory
