Just had a chat with a friend who went through an AI-led job interview, and I can't stop thinking about how weird this is becoming. Apparently, around 1 in 5 companies in the US and UK already use AI interviews, and a lot more use AI to write job descriptions, screen resumes, and search for talent. Wild. For Gen Z, this seems kind of normal — some even prefer it. But for a lot of older job seekers, especially those in their 40s and 50s, it feels cold and confusing. Talking to a screen, getting no real-time feedback, and not knowing what criteria you’re even being judged on? Yeah, I’d be discouraged too. It’s ironic that companies say they care more about communication and soft skills, yet start the process with a robotic, one-way interaction. I get that AI helps with efficiency, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of humanity in hiring. If we’re not careful, we risk shutting out great people just because they aren’t comfortable performing for a machine. #AI #Tech
