Why Does My Dog Guard Every Door?

Is it just my dog, or do all pets have a secret mission to block every doorway in the house? I swear, every time I try to walk from the kitchen to the living room, there’s my dog, sprawled out like a furry speed bump. Sometimes I think he’s testing my agility, other times I’m convinced he’s just making sure I don’t escape without him. It’s not even about wanting to go outside—he just wants to be in the exact spot that guarantees maximum inconvenience. I’ve tripped, sidestepped, and even tried bribing him with treats, but nope.
